NOTICE – Change to the Father Las Heras Scholarship
The Father Las Heras Scholarship (funded by the proceeds of the Goods and Services Auction) will be awarded in the spring to those Parish Seniors entering college in the fall who have been active in the Parish. Parish involvement will be the sole criteria. This is a wonderful way to encouraging our youth to participate in Parish life and a way for the Parish community to celebrate their success and send them off to college with a token of our appreciation for sharing their time and talents.
The new Directory of Ministries booklet provides a listing of the ministries at St. Joseph’s Parish where students can participate and share their time and talent in appreciation for the gifts given them by God and in support of the parish community.
We are implementing a new process for applying for the scholarship. Eligible students will complete a new application detailing the various activities or projects where they have participated.
Deadline for submitting applications to Eileen Lagasse, 18 Mary Dr., Windsor, CT is April 15. They will then schedule an interview with the scholarship committee to discuss these activities/projects. Applications are available for download here, from the rectory, or from Eileen Lagasse at 688-9699.
Interviews will be conducted in 15 minute time slots after the 10am Mass in Father Doherty Hall for two Sundays during the months of April/May. The signup sheet with available time slots will be posted at the side entrance of the church at the end of March.
