St. Jude Catholic Church at 21689 Toledo Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33433 US - Home

Welcome to our Parish!

Keeping a Holy Lent

Fasting, Almsgiving and Prayer

are the three disciplines of Lent.

The faithful and catechumens should undertake these practices seriously in a spirit of penance, and of preparation for baptism or of renewal of baptism at Easter.

FRIDAYS OF LENT ARE DAYS OF ABSTINENCE

Abstinence is observed by all 14 years of age and older. On days of abstinence, no meat is allowed. Note that when health or ability to work would be seriously affected, the law does not oblige. When in doubt concerning fast and abstinence, the parish priest should be consulted.

LENTEN MISSION

Father James Marchionda, OP, will be giving the Lenten Mission this year at St. Jude. He will speak at the Masses on March 24th and 25th to give you an overview of the Mission.

The dates for the Mission are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, March 26th, 27th and 28th, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. There will be a closing concert on Wednesday, March 28th.

Father Marchionda is a dynamic speaker and the Mission will be both inspirational and exciting. Please try to attend.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Friday evenings at 7:00pm in the Church

Come join our parish family for the traditional devotion of the Stations of the Cross. Each Friday evening during Lent we will have a communal celebration to pray with each other and with Our Lord Jesus Christ during his final journey to the Cross.

Each week there will be a different set of prayers. The prayers will take about 30 minutes each week.

This is a traditional Lenten devotion for the whole family.

ALL ARE WELCOME EACH WEEK!
