Our Vision

At St. Jude, our vision is to ensure that the members of our faith community and their families fully understand and are able to demonstrate their Catholic faith through both word and action. This involves offering both resources and instruction for the family especially our children through faith formation materials and classes.

Our Mission

Our mission is to encourage the members of our faith community to grow in their Catholic faith. In order to to do this, we offer a number of resources for members of St. Jude to learn more about their Catholic faith and to share this faith with their families. These resources include:

Catholicism Series DVD's

The Catholicism series is hosted by the Rev Dr. Robert Barron, one of the foremost Catholic theologians of our time. The complete DVD set features ten segments of one hour each covering the Catholic faith from it earliest days to the present with the focus on Catholic doctrine and beliefs. Fr. Barron travels the world exploring the Catholic faith in this most interesting and well produced series. Catholicism DVD sets are available for members of St. Jude to sign out and view at home with their families.

Faith Formation Library

Members of St. Jude are welcome to check out and use any of the books, pamphets and other resource materials that we have housed in our collection of scholarly works concerning the Catholic faith to read and discuss with their families.

Faith Formation Classes

We offer convenient classes led by dedicated teachers that are designed to meet the needs of children who attend public schools. Weekly classes are held from September to April for children in grades 1 through 8. If your child attends a public school, they need to be enrolled in faith formation classes. Please contact the parish office for information on the enrollment process.

Saramental Preparation

St. Jude Family Faith Formation offers specific sacramental preparation for those children who have reached the appropriate age to be considered for these sacraments:

First Reconciliation
First Holy Communion
Confirmation

Parents who are interested in preparing their children to receive the sacraments need to have their children enrolled in the Family Faith Formation program.

Vacation Bible School

Designed for children up to the fifth grade, Vacation Bible School (VBS) is an instructor-led program designed to help children better understand and appreciate the Scriptures. VBS sessions are presented in a simple and fun format that stimulates kids to learn more about their Catholic faith though focused Bible study and structured learning activities.
