Pope Francis has appointed Bishop-elect David John Walkowiak, a priest of the Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio to be the 12th bishop of the Diocese of Grand Rapids. He will be ordained on June 18, 2013 at the Cathedral of St Andrew. The press conference introducting Bishop-elect Walkowiak can be seen on the link to the right.

The Saint Jude Prayer Line was established by Barbara Rutka in 1998. Through the gifts of the Holy Spirt, 40 people of all ages came forth to pray for those in need. While some of the original members have gone to their eternal reward, today the number of those on the prayer line is over 100. Each year the Prayer Line Ministry gathers in the summer for an annual pot luck gathering and renewal of our spirit and commitment. The group photo represents only some of the faces of those who belong to this ministry.
