The Episcopal Ordination and Installation of Bishop-elect David John Walkowiak, the 12th bishop of the Diocese of Grand Rapids will be held at 2:00pm on June 18, 2013 at the Cathedral of St Andrew. Limited seating inside the cathedral means that the Mass is a ticketed event (all tickets have already been distributed); however opportunities to watch live on television and online have been arranged. St Jude Parish is one of the locations the Ordination may be seen in a community setting. For additional details please see the Resources & Information here

What is ‘Faith and Friendship’? It is:
- An informal gathering to share a topic and explore how it relates to our Christian journey
- An invitation and an encouragement for us to go deeper with our relationship with God and Jesus Christ
- To build community and friendship with God and with each other
- It will begin after the 9:00 o’clock Mass and end before the 11:00 o’clock Mass in the Brophy Center, and will meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
How will we do that?
- Open with prayer
- Begin in large group with a presentation of a topic, 5-10 mins.
- Then we will move into smaller groups to converse/dialogue/discuss questions related to the presentation, 10-15 mins.
- We want to build respect and integrity among us, as we build an atmosphere of comfort. With that said we want a ‘what we share here, stays here’, kind of attitude
- Wrap up with thoughts and meditation to ponder in the weeks ahead, 2-3 mins.
- We will meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month
- Feel free to attend the sessions that you can
- We want your feedback on the session and ideas you would have for future sessions
- So it is short-and-sweet.
- Guaranteed to get you out in time for the 11 o’clock Mass
