Pope Francis has appointed Bishop-elect David John Walkowiak, a priest of the Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio to be the 12th bishop of the Diocese of Grand Rapids. He will be ordained on June 18, 2013 at the Cathedral of St Andrew. The press conference introducting Bishop-elect Walkowiak can be seen on the link to the right.

St. Jude Parish Unemployed Support Group

Our Mission is to support the unemployed and underemployed of Saint Jude Parish and non-parishioners during these challenging times, with prayer and education, including networking, resume/resume reviews, interviewing techniques, social services/resources, and the unemployment impact on everyday family living.

The sessions are open to all who are unemployed, underemployed, or concerned about the future of their job. Please join us in our warm, friendly atmosphere of caring, sharing, and personal growth. There is no fee. All are welcome.

Please note our meeting schedule: Meetings are held from 9:30am-11:00am on the second Wednesday of the month in the Brophy Center.

Wednesday, May 8th, at St. Jude we are fortunate to have Kimberly Stein return. Kimberly will review in more detail Behavioral Interviewing and the "Core Competencies" sheets that were handed out last month. Some additional interviews may be conducted. If time allows Kimberly will cover processes for Linked In.
