My name is Jenny LaPonsie and I am the First Grade teacher at St. Jude School. I have been part of the St. Jude family since 2005. I have attended Catholic schools my entire life. I started at Assumption BVM and then went on to complete high school at West Catholic. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at Aquinas College with a major in Physical Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education. I am continuing my educational growth this summer by starting my masters program in elementary education at Grand Valley State University. First Grade is such an important piece to the learning puzzle. My classroom is filled with fun and engaging activities that form the students into wonderful readers and writers. You will find our classroom filled with Clifford decor and activities because of my love for "the big red dog". My husband is a Middle School teacher at St. Alphonsus School. When we are not in the classroom, I enjoy reading, working in the yard, playing with my puppy Ellie, and running.
