Hello, my name is Jenny Lastfogel and I am pleased to be a part of the St. Jude community as the 8th grade homeroom teacher! I have taught for the past five years at both Immaculate Heart of Mary and at St. Patrick in Parnell. I have been blessed to work with fifth through eighth grade students. I truly enjoy working with older students as I get to witness their miraculous growth and formation into young men and women. (And, more of them 'get' my jokes.) I graduated from GVSU in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Group Science/Biology with a minor in Elementary Education. I have since completed a Master of Education in Reading program (GVSU again) and earned my Professional Teaching Certificate. I am certified to teach K-8 Self-Contained, and 6-8 Reading and Science. I have also been blessed with a wonder family. While I was born in New Jersey, my parents moved us frequently and I attended school in three different states before the end of second grade. My husband and I were married while living in California which is where my oldest child was born. Since that time, we have settled in Lowell and brought two more children into our family. Currently, my oldest child Jake is a freshman at Catholic Central (Yes, I have a Cougar and teach in Falcon territory!) while Katie, 6th grade, and Eric, 2nd grade, are attending Assumption.
