Can you spare time on Oct. 6^th, 7^th or 8^th?

We will be working in the upstairs conference room in LeGras Parish Center and are seeking 2nd, 5th, and 8th grade parents.

1:30 to 2:45pm   and   6:00 to 8:00 pm

Race Day is Tuesday, October 27^th

Awards Ceremony will be Wednesday, October 28th

 This year’s race will be new & exciting!

The students will complete a race course on the school property.  There will be 2 races.  In the first race, grades K-4 will run ~ ¾ mile.  In the second race, grades 5-8 will run   ~1.5 miles.  The students will have the experience of a real cross country race with official timers, photographers, running bibs, and awards.   Plenty of exciting prizes will be given away for a variety of accomplishments:

• Top 3 boys and s in each race will win a trophy.
• Top 3 boys and s in each homeroom will earn a medal.
• Door prizes -- including I-tunes gift cards, MP3 players, gift certificates to Strive Fitness, and other thrilling prizes -- will be given away during the Awards Ceremony.  Each student will receive 1 raffle ticket for every 7 address labels returned to school.
• Grand Prize to the family that returns the most address labels – a 6 month family membership to Strive Fit Zone in McMurray. (Duplicate labels from the same household are counted once.)

 Parents, the more address labels you fill out the more effective this direct mail fundraiser will be.  We encourage you to consider neighbors, colleagues, friends, etc. as sponsors.  Last year we raised almost $55,000.  Please turn in your label sheets by Sept. 23rd so we can achieve our goal this year of raising $65,000!!!
