Our ancestors believed that in an environment of ever changing values, and social pressures, children need a stable foundation upon which to build an academic, civic and spiritual future. St. Luke’s School was created to fulfill this vision. Our mission at St. Luke’s is to provide an environment that will nurture each individual, unique child. It is our hope that each child will leave with: (St. Luke’s School Mission Statement) •A set of morals and values, built on the foundation of the Gospel that will sustain them throughout life. •Academic skills to compete in the world. •An ability to share with others what they have learned at St. Luke’s. Catholic schools must be efficient in their operations because they receive no tax support. It is up to parents, friends and parishioners of Catholic schools to provide the financial support to keep them strong. St. Luke’s School Endowment Fund was established in 1989 by St. Luke’s Congregation as a trust fund to aid the parish school. The primary objective is to provide an opportunity for individuals and businesses to financially support Catholic education. This fund is designed to provide for the education of future generations at St. Luke’s. Only the interest from the trust fund is used toward the operation of the school. In the event that St. Luke School should close, the income derived from this trust fund shall be used to provide scholarships for parish students to attend Catholic schools located within the Diocese of Madison, or for the support of St. Luke’s Catholic Congregation Religious Education programs. This is mandated by the by-laws of the trust. The parishioners, graduates, and friends of St. Luke’s school have demonstrated continuing support for the school. Now we are asking you, a St. Luke’s alumni, to help partner the education of our parish children. In the past year the Endowment Fund has grown through memorials ($6,805), the golf outing ($19,000), Bright Lights ($2,014), and this Alumni Drive ($11,340) There is no greater honor than to be asked to participate in the life of a child. Help us reach the $13,000 goal of this fund drive. Your gift, regardless of the amount, will bring us closer to our ultimate goal of $1,000,000. Our Endowment is currently worth $832,123.
