This is the title of one of our new songs this year. We have some very fun and positive new music from K-8 Music Magazine. Other favorites include, Welcome to Our School, Goodbye Summer, and Working on My Happy Heart. The day we learned "Apple on a Stick", we had to sample the delicious apples from Oakwood Fruit Farm.
We have a new instrumental experience called "Mallet Madness". I set up different percussion stations , that include drums, xylaphones, maracas, stick, bells tambourine and the students rotate to each spot and play the instruments to a set beat. It's alot of fun and everyone gets to participate.
We are also working on adding xylaphones to some of the liturgy. 8th graders are learning guitar chords. And the 3rd and 4th graders are asking," When are we going to start recorders?"
So much music and so little time.
