St. Luke’s Home & School Meeting

TREASURER’S REPORT: Deposits totaling $20,998.00 were made from account interest, Parish Festival, concession sales, brat stand, Bucky Badger reimbursement, additional April bake sale deposits, additional Pizza Hut dinner deposits. Payments totaling $3,900.58 were made for the following: J. Cavagnetto (Pizza Hut dinner cookies reimbursement, checks, concession stand refrigerator, Plain True Value (brat stand grill), River Valley publishing (Pizza Hut dinner ad), Bob’s Electric (concession stand refrigerator), Straka’s (brat/hot dogs for brat stand), concession stand supplies (Badger Popcorn, Sysco, Phil’s, and Holiday Wholesale). Total uncommitted funds = $6,876.18.
OLD BUSINESS
Festival: One change to the H&S Chairs for the festival was made: Seventh grade rep will no longer be on the Beer and Hamburger Stand.
Brat Stand: The brat stand on the 4th of July Weekend went very well. It was decided to reserve the brat stand again next year for a weekend in early May. Ann Ryan will call to reserve.
Concession Stand: A huge THANK YOU to Linda Liegel and Sheryl Frank for running a very successful concession stand this summer!
NEW BUSINESS
Calendar of Events revisions:
1. Grade 2 rep was added to help chair the December Christmas raffle, along with the 8th grade rep.
2. Instead of the Pizza Hut dinner in the spring, there will be a homemade spaghetti dinner in October; 4th and 7th grade reps are in charge of this.
3. The brat stand in May will be chaired by 1st grade reps.
4. 7th grade rep is removed from the Beer and Hamburger Stand during the festival.
Krista will revise the calendar to send home with all parents.
Reps: We still need reps for 1st, 4th, 6th and 7th grades. Kathy Heath and Dawn Jewell have agreed to rep for grades 4k/5k (Dawn) and 1st grade (Kathy).
Karen did a great job setting up a table at the Open House to sign up volunteers; it was well-received and there were quite a few who signed up for various activities.
Homemade Spaghetti Dinner: The homemade spaghetti dinner is scheduled for Saturday, October 24. Details will be discussed at the next H&S meeting. A 50/50 raffle will also be organized during the dinner.
