R.C.I.A. – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults RCIA is a faith formation process by which the Church brings new members into full communion with our faith community. It stresses the need for a living experience of Jesus and of the Church, and not just knowledge about Jesus and the Church. Our whole parish community is involved, in some way, in walking with all new members in their journey of faith. We are all called to evangelize and give witness to our faith. In doing so, our own faith is renewed and strengthened. Is the Lord calling you to use your gifts and talents for the RCIA? Some ways of service – just to name a few are: as catechists and presenters; as sponsors for those journeying to become Catholic; by praying for those involved; by providing hospitality or refreshments; by spreading the word about RCIA to others. Come and share your gifts with us, and bring a friend. School Of Faith Religious formation is offered to children in grades kindergarten through high school. Since parents are the primary educators of their children, our program is here to assist parents in their responsibility to educate their children in the Catholic faith. In addition to educating the children in the Catholic faith, we work with the parents to prepare their children to receive the sacraments of reconciliation, first communion and Confirmation. Currently, classes are offered on Sunday mornings and Monday evenings. Our program is always in need of volunteers. We offer training for catechists, assistant teachers and volunteers for our program.
