St. Martin de Porres School exists for the purpose of bringing children and families to a deeper awareness of God's great love and to a sense of their own discipleship in proclaiming God's love and justice. We see our school as a channel of evangelization for those both within the school community and outside the school community. While we honor and respect the religions of all our students, we teach the doctrine, worship, and traditions of the Catholic Church. We strive to foster a deep respect for all cultures of the world. Recognizing that most of our students are of African American heritage, we incorporate the values and traditions of the African American culture into our curriculum, prayer, and worship. With our foundation strongly rooted in our religious mission, we seek to educate our students spiritually, emotionally, morally, and academically. We believe that it is precisely this spiritual orientation that enhances our ability to provide a solid educational foundation. Through the guidance of God's Spirit, we welcome all faculty, students, and family members to join us in our mission of love, peace, and mutual respect, as we learn and grow at St. Martin de Porres School.
