The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a process for those who are interested in joining the Catholic Church and coming to the initiation sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. 

Serving in this ministry involves being a catechist, faith-sharer, or participating in the journey of one of the catechumens or candidates by being a sponsor.
