Re-Membering Church is a weekly gathering of Catholic Christians desiring to return to active participation in the Church. Some have returned to the faith community but feel isolated and lonely. Some have thought about returning but do not know where to start. Some have been away from the church for years, while others have been away for a short time. Some have never left the church but feel emotionally and spiritually distant. The group is led by facilitators who provide friendship, support and appropriate resources to those seeking reconciliation with the Church. Re-Membering candidates are accompanied by companions. The weekly gatherings are on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Serving in this ministry as a facilitator involves planning and conducting the weekly sessions. Facilitators listen, communicate and share faith experiences. The current schedule requires attendance at 2 sessions per month and facilitating at one of those. The Re-Membering Team currently meets monthly before one of the Tuesday sessions. Companions attend all sessions with their Re-Membering candidate.
