Bereavement Visitation Ministry: He has sent me...to comfort all who mourn (Isaiah 61:1-2). The St. Mary's Bereavement Ministry contacts families that have recently experienced the death of a loved one. This is an important parish support for those who are grieving. Many times friends are visiting the families, but too frequently, no representative of St. Mary’s Parish contacts them.
Serving in this ministry involves being a representative of St. Mary's by contacting a grieving family member to comfort, assess needs and connect them to the Parish. Volunteers receive training and may travel in pairs.
