Rainbows for All God's Children is a healing ministry for children who have lost a loved one through death, separation, or divorce.  These children experience a complex set of emotions called grief.  Grieving children struggle to verbalize the sea of emotions churning inside them.  Even though they appear to be fully functioning on the outside, they may be emotionally fragmented.  Because of their age and short life experience, children find it extremely difficult to verbalize their feelings.  This ministry, a collaborative effort of St. Ambrose and St. Mary's, is open to children of all ages and religions.  The program offers weekly support for parish children, kindergarten through 8th grade.  This is an extremely effective ministry.

Serving in this ministry involves being trained as a Rainbows Facilitator or a Coordinator.

Facilitators are trained in a daylong workshop that provides skills to offer appropriate support, guidance, and understanding to the children in a group setting.

Coordinators help in one of four areas:  Site Coordinator, Planning & Debriefing Coordinator, Supplies Coordinator, or Celebrate Me Day Coordinator.
