DYLC (Diocesan Youth Leadership Camp): Each year we send those with strong leadership tendencies to camp for a week to refine their skills. You must first be chosen and then apply for this camp. If you go you will be expected to fill a leadership roll in our church, our youth group and on our retreats. Approximately 100 students from our diocese attend each year. High School Jamboree: An annual event that usually draws about 2000 youth from the diocese. We go to Lansing for the day, attend workshops, listen to great music, keynote speakers and have a Mass with the Bishop. Winter and Summer Retreats: These retreats come from our own ideas, our own spiritual needs and our need to understand, and help us learn to live our faith. We have been planning and attending retreats along with the St. John's and Queen's Youth Group for several years and plan to continue, because these retreats have been extremely successful. In fact, several other churches have asked to join us. Bethany House in Lansing holds 100 students at a time. We hope to start filling our retreats, which means we'll be looking for a really strong leadership team in the next few years. State Rally: This involves Catholic High School students statewide who attend a one-day rally on the grounds of the State Capitol. This event happens every other year. NCYC (National Catholic Youth Conference): This is a four-day, three-night event that happens in a different city every other year. In past years, we went to Indianapolis, Indiana and Houston, Texas . We heard the top Christian bands in the nation and listened to the best Christian speakers in the country. We met kids from all over the world. Each year there are about 30,000 in attendance. Cedar Point Day: Every June we spend a day at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio.
