St. Mary Roman Catholic Church at 210 West Main Street, Manchester, MI 48158 US - Daily Mass Policy On The Day Of A Funeral Mass

Daily Mass Policy On The Day Of A Funeral Mass

Effectively immediately on the day when there is a Funeral Mass of a St. Mary parishioner, the regular scheduled daily Mass will be canceled and rescheduled. The majority of people who are able to attend daily Mass would have the flexibility to attend the Funeral Mass in its place. This policy would also encourage the parish family of St. Mary to be more aware of the loss of a family member, the importance of praying for the deceased parishioner, and the importance of supporting the grieving family with our presence and our prayers. The Mass intention scheduled for the day when a Funeral Mass replaces the daily Mass will be rescheduled as soon as possible. Families will be notified of the change as needed. My hope is that this new policy will draw us ever closer together as a parish family and the loss that we all experience when we lose one of our own parish family members.                                                               —Fr. Tim
