Our Parish family embraces the passion and humbled devotion to the Blessed Mother who responded to the Angel Gabriel's message, "I am the handmaid to the Lord" (Luke 1:38). We are humbled servants of the Jesus Christ who, now raised from the dead, gathers all of the faithful to himself (John 12:32). The Blessed Mother models for all Christians true discipline and over time has been bestowed many titles as she has appeared around the world giving her children hope and inspiration to live lives of virtue We, the people of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Shrine, embrace the wisdom and experience of the Roman Catholic Church. We continue to emerge ourselves in the teachings of the Jesus Christ whose direction to us at the wedding of Cana, "do whatever he tells you," echoes in the hearts of her children (3:5). May the next chapter in our parish history be as rich and full of grace, as when the word became flesh and dwelt among us (1:14).
