The Ministry of Catechist

Catechesis means "echoing God's Word." It is an education in the Christian faith of children, young people, and adults. Specifically, it is handing on the faith to our parish youth in our religious education program. A catechist offers their talent and gifts enthusiastically in response to the call of God. They share their faith life with the students. It involves commitment to our Catholic faith and tradition by being a good example for our youth including but not limited to the following:

*Weekly participation in the Sunday Eucharist

*An ongoing sharing in the life of the parish and larger church

*Practicing the teachings of our Catholic tradition

*A commitment to personal growth as a catechist and as a Christian.
