Our Fall 2009 sessions will cover Chapters 7-12 of the book Life In Christ, Walking with God. In these chapters, we will be discussing the Ten Commandments- using information from the Catholic Catechism and the Bible and sharing our faith with others in our group. Prior participation in a group for the first part of the book is not necessary! If you have any questions, please call 704-543-7677 x 1056 or 1039. Responsibilities of Why Catholic? small group participants:
Groups will meet for six weeks beginning the week of October 18.

Space is available in groups meeting in homes
and at the parish Monday-Saturday.

Think about it: would you be interested in starting a Why Catholic? small group in your neighborhood? You don't have to be a scholar or theologian to facilitate a group- training will be provided.

The book, Life in Christ, Walking with God, is now available in the St. Matthew Gift Shop.
It is $13.89 which includes tax.
~When contacted by your group facilitator, please make note of meeting information, if the group will not work for you, please contact us at whycatholic@stmatthewcatholic.org right away so that we can re-assign you.
~Please prepare for each week's meeting by reading that week's chapter and passages in the Catechism. Come prepared to discuss the material. (The catechism readings may be found at www.usccb.org/catechism/text. You do not have to purchase a catechism.)
~If you cannot make it to a meeting, please let the facilitator know as soon as possible.
~Please try to be on time for the meetings.
~Remember, your facilitator has been to training and has made a commitment to your group-you are also making a commitment to the other members of your group!
