Bereavement Training

“In a faith community, no one should grieve alone”.   At St. Matthew Church we feel this statement is at the heart of the Bereavement Ministry.  That is why we are always looking for more people to help the bereaved, and the best way to do this is to be trained in knowing what TO say and what NOT TO say to those who have lost a loved one.  Sometimes the best thing to do to help someone who is grieving is to just be there.

Was someone there to help you when you lost a loved one?  Do you wish someone had been?  St. Matthew parish needs some good men and women to walk that journey with those who are grieving.   Could this be YOU??????

There will be training on Wednesday evenings –  October 7, 14 and 21 – from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in room #203 for those interested in joining the Bereavement Ministry.  Do you need more information before making the commitment?   Please call Rita Brennan at 704.543.7677 Ext. 1007 to reserve your place and find out more about the Bereavement Ministry and how you might be able to help those who are grieving
