Seats Remain for Parish Retreat. Why Not Fill Yours?

PARISH RETREAT
Parish Retreat is just around the corner, Dec. 4-5, Fri. 5:30pm - 9:30pm; Sat. 8:30am - 8:30pm. These days include meals and on Saturday, a big dinner at 5:00 pm and Mass together at 7:00pm. You may invite family to join you for Mass. These few hours together, while a sacrifice in terms of "other things I have to do" will bring you rewards that the "other things" cannot. Not only will you have the inner peace of knowing you have made a sacrifice for the Lord, but you'll receive the graces of the Holy Spirit and a new fellowship with your brothers and sisters. What could be more important than demonstrating your faith means more to you than one hour a week? No matter your age, young adult or older, the Lord is always trying to get your attention and to point you in the direction of his will for your life. Register after all Masses this weekend in the narthex. Say "Yes," to Jesus' invitation to follow him. Who knows but your sacrifice of time might be what God needs to be the deciding grace for a health care bill that excludes money for abortions? Maybe your extra step in favor of the Lord over everything else is what God will use to bring peace to our world, or heal a wounded soldier. We know God will not be outdone in generosity.
