The Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) and RCIC (for children)is a journey of faith as ancient as the early Christian communities. Through prayer, study, and fellowship an adult is led to a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith. It is directed toward the possible decision to become a full member of the Catholic community. The process is for those who: - have never been baptized - never received first communion /or confirmation - were baptized in another Christian Church RCIA sessions run from October through May and are held Sunday mornings from 9-10:15 a.m. with 10:30 Mass concluding the morning. RCIC sessions run from Sept/Oct. through May and are held on Wednesday (either 4:45-5:45 or 7-8 time to be determined at interview). Both RCIA and RCIC programs are a process of transformation and conversion that takes 2 years (or more) to complete.
