Scenes from the Life of Christ

The Agony of our Lord Jesus in the
“…kneeling, he prayed, saying, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done." And to strengthen him an angel from heaven appeared to him. He was in such agony and he prayed so fervently that his sweat became like great drops of blood falling on the ground. (Luke 22:41-44)”This beautiful window adorns the north side of St. Michael the
Jesus the Good Shepard.
A common image in churches of Polish ancestory is the Jesus, the Good Shepard. “I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. A hired man, who is not a shepherd and whose sheep are not his own, sees a wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away, and the wolf catches and scatters them. This is because he works for pay and has no concern for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I will lay down my life for the sheep." (Luke 10:11-15)
Jesus visits Martha and Mary.
“…he entered a village where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed him. She had a sister named Mary, who sat beside the Lord at his feet listening to him speak. Martha, burdened with much serving, came to him and said, 'Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving? Tell her to help me.' The Lord said to her in reply, 'Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.'" (Luke 10:38-42)
St. Peter receives the keys from Jesus.

Because it was not flesh and blood that revealed this to you but my Father in heaven. So I now say to you: You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church. And the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.. I will give you the keys of the
The Holy Family stopped in their daily work.
This is a rare image not found in many churches where Jesus while at work in the family home fashions two pieces of wood from his foster father's trade. The two pieces form the shape of the Cross and all in the Holy Family pause from their work as it seems they all know that he was born to do this will this work of the Father.
St. John the Baptist, Jesus counsin, Baptizing the Lord in the River Jordan.
"And at once, as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens torn apart and the Spirit, like a dove, descending on him. And a voice came from heaven, 'You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.' John the Baptist hold the banner, which reads, 'Ecce Angus Dei,' that is, 'Behold the Lamb of God.' The words John uses to identify to his disciples that Jesus is the Messiah whom all of
