POLICIES DISMISSAL: Kindergarten through second grades will be dismissed at 7:25 p.m., and third through eighth grades at 7:30 p.m. At dismissal, parents of kindergarten through second graders are required to pick up their children from the classroom. Instructors will not turn over a child to a sibling. Children may be picked up by a sibling who also attends Religious Education classes as long as parents have submitted a permission form. Without submission of this form, parents will be required to pick up their child from the classroom. DIRECTOR'S DISCIPLINARY GUIDELINES: The following guidelines will be followed when a serious disciplinary problem occurs: FIRST COMMUNION REQUIREMENTS BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE: Parents are required to provide the Rectory with a copy of their child’s baptism certificate if their child was baptized at another parish. PARENT MEETINGS: Parents are encouraged to attend the following informational meetings in the St. Michael School Cafeteria on the following dates at 6:30 p.m.: FIRST COMMUNION PRACTICE/FIRST COMMUNION MASS: Dates and times for First Communion Practices and First Communion Masses are as follows: CONFIRMATION REQUIREMENTS lRequired to attend the Presentation of the Confirmation Class Mass, Sunday, September 20, 2009, 9:30 a.m., St. Michael Church.
ARRIVAL: Doors open at 6 p.m. Parents of kindergarten through second graders are required to bring their children in to the school and drop them off in the school lunch room.
1. The instructor will inform the Director of Religious Education of the incident and then send the student to the main office.
2. The director will first talk with the student about the incident and may contact his or her parents, depending on the severity of the problem. The director may then follow the consequence with disciplinary action as deemed appropriate. (A serious disciplinary problem includes, but is not limited to, use of obscene language, theft, damage to personal or school property, disrespectful or disruptive behavior, etc.)

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS: In addition to learning a basic knowledge about the Sacrament and their required prayers, students preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation are:
lVery strongly encouraged to attend the day-long Confirmation Youth Rally on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at
lRequired to complete 24 hours of Community Service - Projects may include, but not be limited to visiting nursing homes, adopting a homebound person, helping at church or school events, etc.
lEncouraged to help at the annual Mardi Gras at the Catherine Kasper Home.
PARENT MEETINGS: Parents are encouraged to attend informational meetings on Wednesdays, March 3, 2010 at 6:30 p.m., in the St. Michael School Lunchroom.
