The Newman Community is a student organization focusing on God. Activities are based on service, education, worship, and fellowship. Newman is primarily a Catholic organization, but members of all faiths are welcomed. Newman sponsors various activities such as retreats, dances, canoe trips and other spiritual and educational activities. Our weekly meetings incorporate a wide variety of activities to help us grow stronger in faith. We discuss many issues in our Christian faith and the faith of others, while serving our community and parishes. Most of all Newman is about building friendships while loving and serving our Lord. We share our hopes, fears and dreams with one another while building relationships that will last a lifetime. Our weekly meetings are held every Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Christ The King Parish Center on 75 Stewart Street, Athens, OH.
