St. Rose at 2571 Nichols Boulevard, Longview, WA 98632 US - Scrip Program
Scrip Program
What is Scrip?
Scrip is a term meaning "substitute money". It is a fundraiser which runs all year long and provides you with an easy method to help support St. Rose School. Scrip is a real and negotiable gift certificate from a participating merchant.
What does it cost me?
NOT ONE PENNY EXTRA!!! Each certificate ... from $1 to $20 to $100 ... will give you full value. Use Scrip rather than cash at no additional cost. This is money you would spend anyway - for groceries, gas, clothing, gifts, and many other items. The school will benefit because we receive from 2% to 25% profit on every dollar you purchase.
How does the school receive this profit if I get the full value of what I buy?
When you purchase $100 of Fred Meyer or Safeway scrip, you pay $100 and receive Scrip certificates that will buy $100 of merchandise. These certificates were purchased from the merchant at a discounted rate of $95, thereby earning $5 or 5% when you purchase them from St. Rose School at full face value.
Which Scrip certificates are available?
The Scrip program keeps gift certificates for over 200 merchants, including restaurants, retail stores, grocery, gasoline, etc. The Scrip Order Form lists many local and Portland area merchants participating in the program. A complete list of merchants can be viewed on the website: www.nationalscripcenter.com. We know you will not use all of the stores listed, BUT we know that there is at least one store where you could use a gift certificate!!
When can I purchase Scrip?
Scrip can be ordered/purchased after most weekend masses in the Parish Center. During the school year, it will also be available for order/purchase before school (M-F 8:20 - 8:50 am).
