THREE STAR RATING!

This means that our program is seeking quality standards beyond the requirements needed for receiving a license to operate our Pre-K program.  Star ratings are based on factors associated with good outcomes for young children, including teacher-to-child ratios, program curriculum, staff education, staff training, etc.

To earn a rating of 1 to 4 stars, a program must meet the STARS STANDARDS for each star level and attain the ERS SCORE for that particular level.  For example:  To rank as a 4-star program, a program must be accredited by a national organization and achieve an overall score of 6.0.  Sts. Peter & Paul’s Pre-K program achieved a score of 6.14!!!

Programs that participate in STARS FOR KIDS NOW are eligible for achievement awards that help maintain and increase quality standards.  Our Pre-K Program participates in STARS FOR KIDS NOW to indicate to parents and others in our community that our Pre-K teachers are working to provide developmentally appropriate and safe care for children each and every day.

Congratulations to Ms. Lorrie and Ms. Joann for their efforts to make this possible.   Thanks also to all of our parents for being so supportive and involved in their children’s education.   Together, we can make a difference for Kentucky’s children…for our children!
