Fourth Grade Catechist Aide/Substitute Needed
The Saint Stanislaus Parish Religious Education Program is seeking a 4th Grade Catechist Assistant who would also be willing to substitute as the lead teacher. If you are interested in this rewarding position, please contact our office at 215.855.9893.
Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive
Thank you to all our parish families for contributing to our Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive. Over 500 pounds of peanut butter and jelly were collected for needy families in the Philadelphia area. Your generosity is once again greatly appreciated!
Thanksgiving Food Collection
Beginning this week, St. Stanislaus School and PREP will be collecting items for the Thanksgiving Food Drive.
Families are asked to send in the following:
Pre-School Threes ~ package of holiday napkins
Fours ~ after dinner mints
Kindergarten ~ package of turkey gravy
1A/1C ~ pie crust mix
1B/1D ~ pie filling (apple or cherry)
2A/2C ~ stuffing mix
2B ~ cranberry sauce
3A/3C ~ instant mashed potatoes
3B ~ small can of sweet potatoes
4A/4C ~ two cans of corn
4B ~ can of fruit (fruit cocktail, peaches, pineapple)
5,6,7,8 ~ monetary contribution toward the purchase of gift cards for turkeys and other perishable items
Items can be sent in to the school classrooms or dropped off in the gymnasium on PREP Night. If you have any questions, please call 215.855.9893.
Youth Event Planning Meeting
Many thanks to those who have responded to the call for adult parishioners to help plan events for the youth of Saint Stanislaus. We are organizing a meeting for December so that we can discuss events for 2010. If you are interested in joining our brainstorming session, please call 215.855.9893 or email ststansbl@comcast.net.
THE EDGE, our Senior High Religious Education Program, will meet in the Parish Center this evening from 4 pm to 6 pm. We look forward to an evening of prayer, reflection, discussion, refreshments, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Children's Liturgy of the Word
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered at the 10 a.m. Mass each Sunday. Children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade who wish to hear the week’s Readings and an age-appropriate homily will accompany a Children’s Homilist and escorts to the Parish Center Chapel for this special program, rejoining the congregation at the beginning of the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
