Parishioner & Boy Scouts Help with Tornado Disaster
On June 5, a deadly tornado hit the ground in Lake Township and the city of Millbury. The call went out for clothing and shoes for those who lost everything. St. Stephen's Boy Scout Troop had just finished their rummage sale and had plenty of clothing and shoes left over. Boy Scouts and their leaders bagged up everything on Monday evening. On Tuesday morning Tom Stupi sent one of his trucks to transport the goods, while Tom's employee volunteered his time to drive to the stricken area. The supplies were take to All Saints Catholic Church, which had been set-up as a Red Cross receiving and distribution station. This was all made possible by the generosity of our community, that is the people who donated the clothing to the Boy Scouts in the first place. Thank you all and may God bless you, Deacon Pete
