Baptism: Registered parishioners of St. Thomas parish may request the sacrament of baptism for an infant or child of six years of age or younger. Parents are required to complete a 2 session Baptism preparation course. Godparents are encouraged to complete this course as well.

First Communion: Second grade children are prepared to receive first communion on the first Saturday of May.

Confirmation Preparation: The Sacraments of Baptism, the Eucharist, and Confirmation together constitute the “sacrament of Christian initiation.” Through the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are:

1)   More perfectly bound to the Church

2)   Enriched with a special strength (the gifts) of the Holy Spirit and

3)   Witness Christ through the call to spread and defend the faith by word and deed (CCC 1285).

Sacrament of Marriage: Contact Parish office at least nine months prior to proposed wedding date. For more information, click here.

Marriage Preparation: An opportunity for engaged couples to get to know themselves better and deal with some of the aspects of their future life together. The requirements for marriage at St. Thomas are FOCCUS, Natural Family Planning, Engaged Encounter Weekend, Spirituality of Marriage, Catholic Information Sessions as well as meetings with a priest.

Marriage Enrichment: Married couples seeking to enrich their marriage. Small and large group meetings, which include speakers, couple prayer groups, social events and much more. If you are married one week or fifty years you are welcome to join us.

Convalidation: A convalidation is a means in the Catholic Church for granting recognition to a marriage that has not been acknowledged according to Canon Law. If you are Catholic but married outside the Catholic church, for example in a civil ceremony, or in a church of another religious tradition consider having your marriage witnessed in the church and be a part of the Sacramental life. A convalidation may be right for you.

Annulments: An annulment is not a “Catholic divorce.” It is rather a determination by the Diocesan Tribunal of the validity of a previous marriage under cannon law. It can also be a very healing process. Anointing of the Sick: Anointing of the sick may be received after Mass on the second Saturday (4:30 p.m.) or the fourth Sunday (12:30 p.m.) Also upon request call 761-8606.
