St. Walter - 1st Grade at 11741 S. Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60643 US - About the Teacher

This is my eleventh year of teaching (time really flies!) and eigth year at St. Walter School.  My first three years of teaching were taught in 3 different suburban public schools.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Science, Language Arts, Social Science, and Psychology.  I have a Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy.  This qualifies me as a state certified Reading Specialist for any grades K-12.  Reading is my true love!!

I am happy to be working with you and your child this year.  I am always happy to talk with you.  However, I ask that you please write me a note or give me a call at school to set up an appointment, so that we can have adequate time to meet.  Mornings and after school are very busy times where I would not be able to give you my full attention due to meetings, other classroom responsibilities, etc., that need to be addressed.  I will be happy to respond back to you as quickly as possible.  Thanks for your understanding! :)
