St. Walter - 1st Grade at 11741 S. Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60643 US - Mystery Readers

We have a program in First Grade called "Mystery Readers".  This is different from the school program, "Readers Are Leaders".  This is how it works:  a parent or grandparent brings 1 or 2 of his/ her child's/grandchild's favorite stories to read.  There is no theme; whatever appropriate book you would like to share with the class is fine.  The door is closed and our guests knock.  Then, I open the door to reveal the mystery reader!!!!  It's about a 15-20 minute session, taking place from 12:45-1:00PM on Fridays.  A schedule is given out at Parent Night and is also available at Parent/Teacher Conferences.  If you have a particular date in mind, please write me a note and I can let you know the availability.
