I am so excited for all of you to visit third grade during open house.  We have been working all month on our author research project.  Come view our display boards, videotaped author interviews, and creative book reports.  All project materials will be turned in by Monday, February 2 for a final grade.  Come see our parade dragons celebrating Chinese New Year.  We followed the example of artist Calder and did a chalk pastel of a planet that we created.  Our awesome science tests are also hanging in the hall.  We completed our study of the family tree of Jesus.  There are many examples of those who followed God even when it wasn’t easy.  The extra credit reports of some are displayed in the hallway.  We have been working on mastering our basic multiplication and division facts.  Samples of our work are ready for view.  Math centers will be out for you to try with your child.  A time line of U.S. history shows are study helpers and our advanced use of technology.  It has been really fun to watch all the excitement of the children as they have come to school every day.  Thank you for instilling the love for learning in your child.  As we reflect on respecting all life this month, I want to say thank you for sharing your child with me.
