You may have noticed the sparkly clean teeth outside of Pre-k or the tooth fairies flying around the hallway.  That’s because we learned all about keeping our teeth healthy and clean.  The children learned about brushing, flossing and visiting the dentist every six months.  We all received new tooth brushes too! 

Then, love was in the air with our Valentines Day celebration.  We shared cards and special treats with all of our friends.  We even made a special Valentine full of kisses for our parent’s. 

Also, there were some extra friends hanging around Saint Walter School on February 13^th, it was bring a buddy day.  We had seven new friends visiting in the pre-k classroom.  They enjoyed a story, the Tooty Ta dance, making a noodle necklace and playing in centers.  It was a ton of fun for both old and new friends.  

Finally, we have made it to our 100th day of school.  We celebrated our 100^th day with a fashion show.  The pre-k children wore shirts, hats, capes and bags decorated with 100 items.  They each took a turn walking the runway displaying their 100^th day fashion.  We were happy to have parents, the kindergarteners and the first grade in the audience cheering us on. 

In religion we have started to talk about how Jesus forgives our sins and that it is important to ask Jesus for forgiveness.  We have made our Lenten Resolutions and are ready for Ash Wednesday mass.  We will continue to talk about making good choices. As well as, start reading about the Easter Story.  

This week we have started our two week unit about the five senses.  We will do an activity to explore each sense.  Keep an eye on our hall work that will display the use of our five senses.  We will end our learning experience by using all five senses at the same time by popping popcorn!
