.Pre-School Program

Saint Walter School's preschool program is currently geared for three and four year old children with full day option! We have other schedules to choose from such as five day and three day program and half days as well. Quite a variety! The daily program for our Pre-School shall provide experiences which will promote the individual child's growth and well-being. Throughout the year will develop an awareness that God directs their world and that Jesus is loving and gentle. The children will hear stories about the life of Jesus. We will learn many prayers. The children will learn to adjust socially to their peer group. We will develop both gross and fine motor skills. We will be exposed to letters of the alphabet and we will introduce beginning sounds. The children will learn to recognize their name,colors, and shapes. The children will use tangible objects to learn about numbers. We will dance, learn songs and many poems.We will provide a time for free choice, this is when the children can work in our classroom centers. Our classroom centers include dramatic play, art center, book center, block center, puzzle center, computer center, table toys, water table and sand table.
