Father Beiting Appalachian Mission Center at 502 Lackey Ave (PO Box 885), Louisa, KY 41230 US - FONT face=
Originally called St. Jude Mission, the Father Beiting Appalachian Mission Center was founded in 1991 by Monsignor Ralph Beiting as an outreach ministry of St. Jude Parish in Louisa, Kentucky, where Father Beiting is pastor. The mission was renamed in honor of Father Beiting in 2005, when it became an official apostalate of the Diocese of Lexington. It seeks to bring the love of Jesus Christ to the poor and impoverished on Appalchia by offering a variety of services, including the collection and distribution of material goods, supportive housing for at-risk families, and home repairs for families living in substandard housing. The mission center welcomes many volunteer groups annually, who come to Appalachia looking for opportunities to show their solidarity with the poor.
Happy Anniversary Monsignor Ralph Beiting!
