Announcements from Newman

 

*Father Andrew Beerman will do a presentation on the Theology of the Body at the Newman Center on Tuesday, November 17 at 8 p.m.  The Theology of the Body is based on the writings of Pope John Paul II on Sexuality.   We plan to run this program next semester.  Come to the presentation to learn more.

 

*The National Evangelization Team, also known as NET,  will be visiting our Newman Center this Tuesday afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m.  Members of this team do retreats all over the country.  If you would like to know more about what they do, stop in on Tuesday.

 

* The Newman Center is participating in Operation Christmas Child again this year.  This program is an opportunity to fill a shoebox gift with small toys and candy for poor children from around the world, many of whom would not receive a Christmas gift otherwise.  Shoeboxes can be dropped off at Newman the week of November 16-20.   Deadline to turn in a shoebox gift is Friday, November 20.  

 

*The Newman Center will be hosting a Lip Sync Contest this Friday at 7 p.m.

 

 Mass and Reconciliation is held at the Newman Center on Wednesdays. Reconciliation is at 7:30 p.m. and Mass at 8 p.m.  This week Father Rick Colletti will be joining us. 

 

*The Newman Center is sending groups of 5 to the Missionaries of Charity on Fridays to serve in their after school program.  We leave at 1 p.m.  We have two spaces available for this Friday.  Contact our office if you are interested. 

 

*Campus Renew groups meet on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 5 p.m., and Thursday at 6:45 p.m. This is the last week this semester for Campus Renew.

 

*The Sunday night Mass is held at 7 p.m. If you sing and/or play an instrument we would love to have you join us.  Rehearsals are at the Cathedral on Thursdays at 8 p.m.
